Back After Baby: '11 Weeks Back Into Training' Check In Run

I'm 17 weeks postpartum today.  Hm, at what point does one stop referring to themselves as postpartum anyway?  Is my mother still considered postpartum?  Technically speaking she is, but that seems a bit excessive on the time line.

Anyway, the baby and I returned to the out and back course where I know all the check point steps, so you know that means it was a 'check in' day.  A day to see how I'm progressing.  It was a little bit chilly, but that wasn't an affecting factor. So if you read my last entry about this run you know that the last time I hit the second checkpoint in 12 minutes; today- 11:07.  I'll take it, but it was so awkward.  I feel like I'm dragging my right hip behind me.  It didn't really hurt, but it most definitely affected my efficiency.  Grr.... Also felt like I had a lot of reflux today.  I'm satisfied with the 11:07, but the other check points were pretty slow, so it's not as impressive of an upgrade as it seems at first glance.  No doubt the lack of sleep is the main reason I feel so much more tired than I should.

On a good note- I found a HUGE leaf to give my older son.  He'll be impressed with it.  Mommy points for the day- check!  Even if the run wasn't amazing, this makes it worth the trip and the effort.
