Back After Baby: Day Fifteen - You Make Due
Today I did a short run, then inserted some body strength work (various squats, leg lifts, etc) and then ran back-uphill to finish out a little over two miles (notice I didn't write 'downhill' before the preceeding, that's because it's unfortunately a lot easier to recall the uphill...). This workout was fun and entertaining. I'm pleased with my ability to see this workout as worth while. A relatively recent version of myself would have thought it wasn't worth the time, but it was and I'm glad I did it.
Not every workout has to be grueling or exhausting in order to be effective. It's taken me a lonnng time to figure this out. Better late than never.
Workout: 2 mile total run split with body weight strength work
Stats Update: Yea...still haven't lost any scale weight. I still have 20 lbs to lose to get back to pre-prego weight. This is crazy to me considering all the increased activity, but it is what it is. No explanation, so I'm going to give myself permission not to worry about it for the time being.
